material stacks were wrapped in a release film and a breather cloth, and after this charge was sealed in the vacuum bag and heated in an autoclave to allow the resin cure. At the end of the curing process, the specimens with dimensions 25 mm x 10 mm were cut from the laminates, as visible in Fig. 1.

The ILSS of the manufactured FLMs was measured through the short beam three-point bending test, following the ASTM D 2344 test method: the specimen was positioned on two support and a cylindrical punch loaded it in the centre, with a speed of 1 mm/min. The distance between supports was chosen equal to 20 mm with the purpose of reaching a span-to-thickness ratio equal to 4. An example of the test set-up is reported in Fig. 2.
