4.2. Theoretical damage based on corrected Faupel formula Fig. 3 presents the theoretical failure forces obtained by Eq (3) and those obtained experimentally (Tab. 4). The residual ultimate forces decrease as a function of the life fraction. The virgin strand supports an ultimate force of 3799 u F N  , which gradually decrease as the immersion time of strands increases until critical values are reached 856.4 a F N  corresponding to the total damage of the strand wires.
