The results in Fig. 16 underline, that the implementation of a cycle dependent material behaviour may improve the fatigue life estimation.

For the notched specimens, variable amplitude loading tests with a Gaussian distributed load spectrum were conducted. On Basis of the numerically estimated nominal S-N curves, Fig. 17, a damage accumulation was executed, using the Palmgren-Miner Rule modified according to Haibach [15] on the basis of the external load spectrum.
