been established that freezing and unloading caused by excavation works leads to an increase of mechanical pressure in neighborhoods of freezing wells. Frost heave and temperature deformation cause displacement of soil in the vertical and horizontal directions. In the second case elasto-plastic deformation of soils adjacent to the freezing well has been studied. It has been shown that in comparison with elastic solution a consideration of plastic strain leads to smooth distribution of mechanical pressure and Mises stress along the well boundary without imaginary peaks at soil stratums interfaces.
