Experimental data on the regularities of the spatial-time inhomogeneity of the plastic flow in conditions of the complex stress state (with joint tension and compression) were obtained. It illustrates the kinetics of initiation and propagation of the deformation bands due to the Portevin-Le Chatelier effect. As an example, Figure 7 shows the fields of local longitudinal strain rates for points 4-6 (Fig. 3). On the surface of specimens a set of bands of localized plastic flow are manifested. Similar results were obtained for the second group of samples with a rigid rim of the inverse curvature.
