4. Results 4.1. Chemical composition

The bulk chemical composition obtained by wet chemical analysis technique employing Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES) from the damaged cooling duct of fighter aircraft is given in Table 1. The analyzed chemical composition indicates that it is fabricated from Al-Mn alloys (similar to AA3003 or 3004) which are typically used for sheet metal applications.
