 When the tempering temperature is increased, the recovery of martensite gradually increased and the longer duration of tempering, increased the carbide precipitation  The combination of tempering temperature of 400°C and time of 30 minutes gave hardness of 44.5 HRC  The fatigue life of 215902 cycles was observed when tested at 30% of ultimate tensile strength  The higher the hardness, the higher is the tensile strength and thus higher the fatigue strength.  From the ANOVA analysis, it was inferred that the effect of tempering temperature had significant effect on microstructure and mechanical properties of 26MnB5 martensitic steel tubes than that of tempering time.
