5. Conclusion
A number of experimental and theoretical studies on the deformation behavior of metal bolted flange connections under quasistatic deformation have been carried out. The experimental measurements of the deformation parameters for the samples representing full-scale flange joints made it possible to verify the developed mathematical model describing deformation processes based on the elastic-plastic flow. The analysis of the numerical simulation results and the experimental measurements allowed us to determine deformation parameters that reflect the specific features of the stress-strain state in the vicinity of the bolted joint. The proposed parameters can be used in monitoring the structures with bolted flange connections.
