Fig. 4. An ECC image showing the dislocation pattern at ∆ K = 22.9 MPa √m ; The lower part of the figure appears as black, because the contrast and brightness were optimized for the upper part.
Fig. 5. (a) Overview ECC image at ∆ K = 43.0 MPa √m ; magnified images at the locations (b) 20 and (c) 35 μm far from the fracture surface. Table 1 Slip factors ξ calculated for each slip systems. Slip planes Slip directions Slip factor ξ (-112) [1-11] 0.337 (-101) [1-11] 0.336 (2-11) [11-1] 0.333 (-121) [11-1] 0.331 (-101) [1-11] 0.321 4. Conclusions Using EBSD analysis, the plastic strain development at the regions corresponding to ∆ K values of 8.1, 22.9, and 43.0 MPa √m were observed. Alternatively, the dislocation structures at the regions corresponding to ∆ K = 22.9 and ∆ K = 43.0 MPa √m were observed, through ECCI. As a result, the following conclusions were made:
