macroscopic cracks propagating speed calculated from high-speed images is about 800 m/s which is 25 percent of the Raleigh wave speed. The average specific energy absorption of ALS glass at low and high strain-rate loading is 1.98 KJ/Kg and 5.43 KJ/Kg, respectively.
