2.2. FEM results
Plots of temperature and von Mises stress fields, obtained by FEM simulations corresponding to the pre take-off 1 phase (Fig. 3), which is most critical among the considered six load cases (Fig. 4), are shown in Fig. 5 for both FEM model and submodel. The Von Mises stresses and temperature distribution shown in Fig. 4 are related to the most critical material point coinciding with the crack insertion point (highlighted in Figs. 4b, d).
