Finally the use of slowness curves as a theoretical tool in order to consider wave scattering was discussed. Slowness curves for different masonry and prism materials can easily be obtained using appropriate software. Initial results in dicate that the implementation of these curves in the proposed strength calculation algorithm is expected to increase the reliability and accuracy of the obtained results, as well as allow the application of the method in anisotropic, historical masonries.
