Fig. 7 shows the corresponding P max vs. L O results for the SJ. Here the strength scaling is markedly different: P max remains almost constant with increasing L O when bonded with 2015. This is due to the adherend failure initiating at the step edge. The PLA/2015 combination again provides the highest P max (around 2.36-2.40 kN). The 7752 shows a modest increase with the increase of L O , although absolute values stay lower than in SLJ.
