4. Conclusions A theoretical analysis of delamination in a three-layered double clamped column under subsidence of its lower end is performed. Since the column is statically indeterminate, the subsidence induces stresses. The SERR is determined with considering the symmetry (there are two delamination cracks situated symmetrically with respect to the column axis). The column exhibits relaxation behaviour under constant strains. The solution of the SERR derived here incorporates three important factors, namely subsidence of the column, relaxation behaviour and continuous material inhomogeneity of column layers. The influence of these factors of the SERR is investigated. It is found that the growth of the subsidence magnitude causes a rapid increase of the SERR. The relaxation generates a smooth reduction of the SERR with time. The growth of the delamination length leads to rise of the SERR (this is a result of the reduction of values of material properties along the length of the layers). References Dolgov, N., 2005.
