2. Material and methods The geometric parameters of the experimental arches and their reinforcement schemes are given in (Dvorkin et al. (2017), Dohoda et al. (2021), Sobczak- Piąstka et al. (2023), Filipchuk et al. (2024), Karavan et al. (2025), Karavan (2022), Karavan (2023), Filipchuk et al. (2016), Karavan (2017)). Arch A1 was tested according to the diagram shown in Fig. 1. Reinforced concrete arch A2 was tested according to the diagram shown in Fig. 2 for the effect of a short-term static single load. The experimental samples were manufactured and tested in accordance with the applicable regulatory documents. High-strength fast-setting concrete class C80 was used to manufacture the arches, the physical and mechanical characteristics of which were determined by field tests. The arches A1 and A2 were tested under the action of a static stepwise increasing load until destruction. The concentrated load was transmitted from a hydraulic jack to a 600 mm long crossbar, which, in turn, transmitted the load to the arch by two concentrated forces at a distance of 300 mm from the axis of symmetry of the arch. The force was measured by a ring dynamometer pre-calibrated on a P-250 press. The load measurement accuracy was 0.05% (the scale interval of the ring dynamometer was 0.4 kN). After installing the test arches on the press beam and mounting the equipment on it, measures were taken to ensure safety conditions, namely: additional fastening of the sample, fixing the jack, crossbeam, and dynamometer. The final stage of preparation for testing was to check the operation of the hydraulic system, its tightness, etc.
