Based on research into operating conditions, it has been established that mechanical static and dynamic loads, as well as a humidity range of 60% to 95% and a temperature range of +10°C to +50°C, act on the technological pallet. It has been determined that, during a one-day usage cycle of the technological pallet, the average annual turnover is 250 cycles. Based on the results of tests on the wood of the technological pallet after 3, 6, 12 months, and 2, 3, 4, and 5 years of operation, its hardness was measured using the Pevzof method. A dependency of the hardness of the wood of the technological pallet on its duration of operation has been established. 1. Introduction Wood is widely used in various industries (Homon et al. (2024); Patton-Mallory and Cramer (1987); Pavluk et al. (2025); Bojok and Vintoniv (1992); Ivaniuk et al. (2024); Green and Kretschmann (1992)). This primarily includes construction (Mykhailovskyi and Komar (2024); Aleksiievets et al. (2024); Donadon et al. (2020); Nsouami et al. (2022)), interior design, and outdoor architectural forms. Wood is used in new construction (Zhou et al. (2018); Pavluk et al. (2024); Shams Huq et al. (2025); Homon et al. (2025); Lamichhane et al. (2025)), during the repair and reconstruction of buildings and structures. Experience in the inspection, operation and repair of wooden structures shows their high reliability, durability and maintainability (Datsiuk et al. (2024); Gomon et al. (2024); Anshari et al. (2017)). These characteristics often do not yield, and in some cases exceed the corresponding characteristics of products and structures made of steel and reinforced concrete. It is also important not to overlook wood as a material with high physical and mechanical properties (Pinchevska et al. (2020); Homon et al. (2024); Horbachova et al. (2023); Albrectas et al. (2020); Matviiuk et al. (2025)), which meet the requirements of certain manufacturing processes (Moya VIII International Conference “In -service Damage of Materials: Diagnostics and Prediction“ ( DMDP 2025) Study of changes the hardness of wood in production pallets during operational use Oleksiy Petrenko a , Svitlana Vikhot a , Sviatoslav Homon b, *, Roman Shchupakivskyy c a Lviv Polytechnic National University, S.
