design is intended to transmit torque from the drive shaft to the actuator via a chain transmission, we set the fixed end of the shaft and apply a load in the form of torque М мах = 1000 N∙m to the working teeth of the sprocket. To minimize the production costs of the current TSC model, structural steel 20, which is inexpensive and readily available, has been provisionally selected as the material for coupling.

Modelling of the load regime under the action of torque based on the results of the model study showed that the maximum equivalent stresses (according to von Mises) occur in the splined connection of the drive half-coupling with the shaft and amount to ≈ 135 MPa on the shaft splines (Fig.5).

The stress on the splines of the driven half-coupling is slightly lower and amounts to ≈ 108 MPa (Fig. 6).
