4. Conclusions and future developments In this work, a methodology is proposed to optimize the sub-parts of bracing systems in modular buildings. This methodology is based on an optimization process that aims to maximize the number of scenarios in which it is possible to achieve modular buildings that meet specific performance requirements. The methodology is formulated as a mathematical optimization problem and each step is well illustrated. As for the validation, many case studies are considered, showing the efficiency of the methodology proposed. In perspective, future developments may be to apply the optimization methodology to more cases studies, to generalize it to other sub-parts of modular buildings (not only bracing systems), to validate the simplification assumed by means of numerical analyses carried out for a selection of scenarios. 5.
