5. 7-Day autonomy kit The "7 Day Autonomy" kit, referred to as a logistics kit, is meticulously designed to ensure the self-sufficiency of inspection teams for up to seven days in potentially isolated or resource-scarce environments following a seismic event. This autonomy is crucial for rapid deployment and sustained operations without immediately relying on external support infrastructure, which may be compromised. The kit's design balances portability with comprehensive provision: it provides three days of autonomy for an inspector operating with a backpack away from the service vehicle (French Government, 2022), with the remaining four days' worth of supplies, particularly water and food, stored in the vehicle itself to manage weight effectively.

Fig. 4 – Mind-map of 3D backpack component The backpack component of this kit is modular and robust, featuring a waterproof design and a capacity of 40-50 liters, facilitating organized and portable storage of all necessary items. This module is complemented by several specialized sub-modules: • Food-Water module: Contains non-perishable, high-caloric food rations not requiring cooking (at least 3 liters of potable water per person per day), along with cutlery, reusable cups, and a multi-functional Swiss Army knife. • Medical module: Includes a first aid kit - periodically checked for integrity and expiration (Italian Ministry of Health, 2003), a thermal emergency blanket, and space for personal and life-saving medications, including spare glasses. • Electronics module: Comprises an emergency communication radio, long-lasting cell phones with dual SIM capability, high-capacity power banks, a compact solar charger, and various charging cables. • Extra module: Holds essential non-technical items such as cash, duplicate keys, a waterproof envelope with photocopies of ID and important documents, a local area map and compass, an electronic lighter, candles, games, and a whistle. • Weather protection module: Provides essential clothing like a hooded windproof, breathable, and waterproof jacket, along with hats, gloves, a warm sweater, and a scarf for varying weather conditions. • Hygiene module: Contains personal hygiene products (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, hand sanitizer, wet wipes, toilet paper) and a lightweight, quick-drying microfiber towel. • Sleeping module: Includes a sleeping bag, inflatable pillow, insulating mat, and a bivy sack for overnight stays in the field.
