The case reported in Fig. 8 (POI_9, see Fig. 3) is a small village called Çi ğ li, close to Kahramanmara ş . At the top of this village the fault passed through a bunch of houses on a top of a hill. The fault displacement was clearly highlighted by the dislocation of a concrete wall on the side of the street (Fig. 8b) and was estimated to be 2.5m. The
