The fragility curves of BF models reveal an increase in structural fragility when the staircase is explicitly modeled compared to cases where it's not considered. The staircase's plan layout, however, does not significantly influence the results. IF models exhibit lower fragility compared to BF models. This can be attributed to the reduced lateral displacement and inter-story drift ratio (IDR) demand in IF models, owing to their increased modal stiffness while maintaining an unchanged frame capacity. Fragility curves were determined using both a global EDP, IDR, and a local EDP, shear failures. Ductile failures were not considered as they were not detected in the pushover analyses. Specific results for damage level D5 are presented in Figure 6.
