In this study we employ Unity, a widely adopted cross-platform development environment for creating interactive Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) applications. We implemented a custom C# script to import and show a pre-acquired point cloud data within a simulated environment, as depicted in Fig. 3. More in detail, the point cloud collected for the case study under consideration contains approximately 43 million colored 3D points, providing a high-definition digital replica. This level of detail enables a highly faithful visual representation, which is essential for immersive visualization within the simulated environment.
