3. Results of mastic asphalt mixture and discussion The results of the flexural strength tests of the prismatic beams representing the bond between old and new mastic asphalt, both with and without self-adhesive bitumen tape are presented in Table 1.

A comparison of the flexural strength test results for joints between old and new mastic asphalt – both with and without the use of self-adhesive tape – as well as for monolithic beams, is presented in Figure 2.
