For purpose of presented works the DOProC procedure was re-implemented in the MATLAB procedural language. The problem of steel element fatigue studied below was analyzed with the use of the procedure. In the case of analysis of the probability of failure in one given time the computation on a modern desktop computer took tens of minutes. In cases where the whole expected life of the element has to be analyzed (that is, the reliability of failure was repeatedly analyzed for different time intervals) computational times were proportionally longer. Thus parallel implementation of the DOProC code was introduced.
