A non-contact optical video system VIC-3D with Prosilica GE4900 cameras with a resolution of 4872 x 3248 (16 megapixels) and a maximum acquisition rate of 3 frames/second was used to determine the displacements on the surface of fiberglass tubular specimens. The digital image correlation (DIC) method implemented in the VIC-3D software was used to calculate strain fields.
