M. Totaro et al. / Procedia Structural Integrity 68 (2025) 197–204 5 which is equal to % '%.) = 96.5 ± 0.2 MPa. It is noteworthy that the limit stress determined with STM, based on the chosen interpolation, is within a similar stress range assessed through fatigue test. In the light of this result, it can be stated that STM can provide a reliable estimate of the fatigue limit even for composite materials. However, static testing is influenced by common issues associated with composite materials, such as intrinsic defects and voids. Therefore, applying the STM can be quite complex, and confirmation with TM, which is an advanced and reliable method, is necessary to better interpret the static results. 201 M.
