4. Conclusion This contribution briefly illustrates some of the activities carried out within the MULTIFUN3D research project, and the numerical simulations that support the interpretation of the results obtained by 4PBT on homogeneous and composite samples. 3D core-shell scaffolds are also being produced and tested under uniaxial compression. The input provided for the next computations and the relevant numerical results will give a better insight on the effectiveness of the metal-ceramic coupling in terms of overall strength and ductility.
