3.2. Electrochemical test The presence of inhibitor causes the shift of both cathodic and anodic branches of the polarization curves as compared with the blank solution. 3.2. Electrochemical test The SEM/EDX spectra for Calotropis procera showed a significant decrease in the intensity of oxygen peak, which reveals a reduction in the formation of corrosion products on the surface of the studied pipeline steel. Smooth and rough surface. Overall, the SEM observations confirm the excellent inhibition efficiency of the CP [8,9]. This indicates promising applicability for the CP as a corrosion inhibitor for API 5L X52 steel in oilfield media. a) b)

4. Conclusion The extract of Calotropis procera proved effective in mitigating corrosion on X52 steel, with inhibition efficiency improving as inhibitor concentration increased. Electrochemical analysis findings were further validated through SEM-EDX characterization.
