At the next stage of the work, samples of a bulk Ni-based composite material containing 5% of the reinforcing phase were manufactured and studied. Figure 3 shows a micrograph of the surface of a composite sample made of Ni grade PNE-1 with the addition of 5% reinforcing phase. The study of unpolished sections of samples makes it possible to assess not only the presence of micron pores, but also to study the sample for the presence of nanoscale pores. The obtained samples of Ni-based metal composite were a massive material with insignificant internal porosity (1%) and zero external porosity (Fig.2). The absence of interfacial boundaries between the particles of the Ni matrix and the carbide nanostructures made it possible to minimize the internal porosity of the sample.
