Impact resistance The effect of adding HDPE in concrete on impact resistance is shown in Figs. 9a and 9b. From Figs. 9a and 9b, it was observed that 0.5%, 1%, and 1.5 % HDPE fiber-reinforced concrete gains an impact strength of more than 33.33%, 61.11%, and 77.77% for the first crack on the specimen and 31.81%,54.54% and 68.18% for the final failure respectively when compared to plain concrete.
