Initial bending stiffness and service bending stiffness The TCC beams achieve the maximal initial bending stiffness K i and the maximal service stiffness K ser in all locations with the notch connection R200. Because of the long length, the TCC beams have high stiffness and strength. In all cases, the TCC beams with long notches in the same location always exhibit a higher initial bending stiffness Ki and also a higher service bending stiffness K ser compared to the beams with short notches. Therefore, the TCC beam with a long notch performs better in terms of stiffness.
