7. The importance of digital transformation at organizational level and Future developments The infrastructures management process development involves a “digital transformation” towards the entire corporate “Information Management” . The analysis of the information available belonging to all the specialist sectors involved in the process constitutes the necessary “As - Is” Analysis pre liminary to the development of an informed and shared digital transformation. Such transformation depends not only on the technology, but also on the processes, most of all on the set-up of the Organizations (both at Project and Asset level). The study carried out in this field is the exact example of how BIM must be conceived: - no longer simply 3d - parametric and informative – as detailed in Standard ISO 19650, - but as “information management” overflowing in corporate organizations, leading them to operate, manage and “ think digitally ” . Such digital transformation needs pilot projects, tests and sharing and is therefore a process that, in order to be effective and efficient, needs will and determination starting from the company general management and leadership, as in Sina company. As already envisaged, to further widen the Asset Management approach, a pilot project for tunnels will be set up, defining the information requirements necessary and testing decision-making criteria for all infrastructure categories. Such project, which should have started in 2022, was delayed to 2023 awaiting the consolidation of the Guidelines for the classification and management of risk, the assessment of safety and the monitoring of existing tunnels along state roads or highways. Another in-depth study will concern the definition of health index and asset value indicators calculation criteria (on the entire network or on groups of structures) to enable analyses and priority definition activities. Such choices will be streamlined via specific calculation routines implemented into SIOS to support the selection of maintenance interventions. 8. Conclusions During this first phase of experimentation and study of new methods and technologies, achieving the objectives of the pilot project ha enabled: • the definition of the procedure to create BIM models with related information requirement levels to digitize visual inspections according to Sina conventions; • the identification of possible indexes for the development of a BMS system that includes the entire infrastructure network.
