Abstract New technology for the manufacturing and use of the rolling kingpin bushings in the undercarriage of some brands of cars based on the consideration of the regularities of deviations of their cylindrical deviations from roundness for the case when the maximum macro deviations are values of the second or third orders of the majority from the tolerance field for the given size is proposed in this paper. The deviation from roundness is estimated on the basis of harmonic analysis using the theory of small samples. The obtained results can be useful in correcting the profiles of calibration tools, designing calibration elastic fillers, ensuring the improvement of the quality of assembly units included in such bushings.
