In practice, a situation often arises when there are not enough available capacities and resources to perform large time-consuming restoration (scheduled or emergency) works. In such cases, there are two ways: - carry out the planned work with the available means, without assessing the effectiveness of such an approach; - attract additional resources and capacities from outside (for example, a neighborhood unit). Rejecting the first way as not of practical interest, the problem of feasibility and efficiency of attracting additional capacities can be presented in the form:

The proposed method is implemented and allows performing various calculations in order to find optimal organizational and technological solutions according to the criterion of minimum average total specific costs. 3. Research results and their discussion A large database and the possibility of operational processing of a large amount of information makes it possible to use this computer-oriented methodology in the operational management of repair and operation units of different hierarchical levels and specializations directly during the maintenance and repair of existing gas transportation systems. Figure 1, as an example, presents the results of forecasting optimization of organizational and technological solutions for maintenance of the linear part of the gas pipeline according to the criterion of the minimum average total specific costs, performed according to the developed methodology. Calculations were made for different values of the gas supply reliability coefficient, which is determined by the ratio of the actual volume of gas consumed to its
