The stages of moulding of the product strut of a complex profile are considered. The maximum pressure value for partial compaction of the strut material at the stage of its pre-forming is substantiated. The pressure at which the partial impregnation of the braiding layer is carried out is determined. The basic physical processes occurring at the stage of final moulding of rod products of complex profile made of composite materials are investigated. It is established that under the action of forces in the moulding process the processes of binder filtration in the interfibre space play a determining role. The mechanism of possible violation of homogeneity and strength of the product in the process of pressing of its elements is described. The pressure of moulding which is necessary for maintenance of the given degree of filling by a binder of any sites of a product of a complex profile is defined. © 2024 The Authors. Introduction Composite materials used in the construction of structures, particularly those, which are being built in seismically active zones, must meet the requirements of strength, stiffness, durability, have a certain load-bearing capacity and quality (Ihnatieva et al., 2021). Vibration processes during earthquakes lead to the appearance of cracks, voids, VII International Conference “In -service Damage of Materials: Diagnostics and Prediction ” (DMDP 2023) Improving the quality of complex profile products from composites used in earthquake-resistant structures Viktoriia Ihnatieva* Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University, Faculty of Engineering of Machines, Structures and Technologies Ternopil, Ukraine
