Experimental investigations of pine wood samples were conducted under axial compression along the fibers after long-term operation within 25 to 75 years. New experimental data regarding changes in the fundamental strength parameters of wood after extended use were obtained. According to the results of the conducted experiment, it was found that the ultimate strength and modulus of elasticity of pine wood, after 25-75 years of use, at a moisture content of 12-15%, decreased compared to unused samples. It was established that the strength parameters after prolonged use are influenced by the temperature and humidity conditions, the duration of exploitation, the loading regime, and the damage occurring during operation. © 2024 The Authors.
