Wood deformation diagrams of “stress σ с – relative deformation u c ” under specific operating conditions were constructed. New experimental data on changes in the basic mechanical properties of wood after prolonged moistening were obtained. The main strength and deformation characteristics under these operating conditions were determined. It has been established experimentally that the influence of an active aqueous environment significantly diminishes the strength parameters of wood and increases deformability. © 2024 The Authors.
