1. Introduction The existing ways of intensifying technological processes in food processing industries aimed at accelerating the movement of liquid flows of raw materials and finished products can create the conditions for increasing temperature modes and pressure in devices. This, in turn, creates factors that contribute to the growth of corrosion and the impact of erosion. An important method of corrosion protection is the introduction of specially selected compounds - inhibitors - into an aggressive environment. Corrosion inhibitors are organic and inorganic substances that, in small quantities, reduce the rate of metal dissolution and possible harmful effects. Inhibitory protection contributes to the creation of a protective film on the inner surface of the equipment due to the adsorption capacity of the corrosion inhibitor. Therefore, this area of inhibition is characterized by high cost-effectiveness and ease of production implementation without special additional equipment. At present the development of environmentally safe compounds with inhibitory effect is an urgent problem in metal protection. Over the past decade, the investigations of cheaper, more easily available inhibitors that reduce the risk of environmental impact have been actively carried out. These can be non-toxic and renewable plant waste. Therefore, protecting industrial equipment and facilities is one of the most important problems in different countries, and creating inhibitors based on natural compounds is an important solution. Nowadays, inventors are focusing their investigations on safe, non-toxic corrosion inhibitors, anti-corrosion materials, and protective systems using non-scarce and cheap Ukrainian raw materials. A significant amount of safe waste from processing and food production, hich are practically not used and disposed, have valuable properties and can be used as components of inhibitor compositions, rust modifiers, and protective inhibited polymer systems. Any process of slowing down corrosion and reducing the rate of metal oxidation due to the use of the chemical compound is definitely created by a corrosion inhibitor. They are easy for use and prefer insitu application without causing significant process interruptions. Therefore, corrosion inhibitors are one of the best methods of combating corrosion and their effective use makes it possible to take into account the factors of the problem and their partial elimination. Corrosion inhibitors are substances whose dosage in the aggressive environment within the determined parameters significantly slows down the corrosion of metals. This process occurs as the result of competitive adsorption with activator particles with the formation of protective adsorption or phase film on the metal surface, sometimes with barrier properties. Corrosion inhibitors affect the kinetics of electrode processes reducing the corrosion degree, forming the adsorbed layer, or delaying cathodic, anodic, or both processes (Slobodyan et al., 2021; Sakhnenko et al., 2005). The inhibitor process is shown schematically in Fig. 1.

Fig. 1. Schematic representation of the inhibition process.

Depending on the type and composition of technological medium and environment, inhibitors are used for acidic environments, for atmospheric corrosion protection, for organic environments (alcohol solutions), for water and water-salt environments (water recycling systems, cooling systems, etc.). Specific inhibitors are also used for the given environment and body surface without the possibility of their application for other environments and materials (Khoma 2010; Slobodian et al., 2015). The effect of protective action of the inhibitor clearly depends on the concentration and technology of dosing into the technological medium and protective material. In addition, the
