One of the problematic tasks was crack confirmation using UAV. Considering that such defects are the most hazardous and difficult-to-detect, their preliminary assessment using UAV requires additional equipment and appropriate qualifications of specialists, having practical experience of investigation of initiation and propagation of cracklike defects. As an example, Fig. 6 gives a node of support e lement of “Drum” system, where a crack was detected in the gusset by the results of visual examination and magnetic inspection with climbers participation.
