Specimens for validation are also within tolerances (Fig. 6), with the width being ±3% of the nominal value. On a side note, specimen with notch end hole are easier to manufacture. Tensile Tests All specimens broke with a flat smooth fracture surface perpendicular to the load axis without fragmentation, as Fig. 7 shows.
