3. Materials, methods and experiments For the experiment, glass fibers reinforced plastic strips of constant length and different widths were prepared. The strips were joined with overlapping (Fig. 7) with different joint lengths (see Table 1.) using 3 types of adhesives: 2 cyanoacrylate-based, hard adhesives and 1 rubber-based, soft adhesive. Adhesives can be divided by exposure time - the first group - "instant" - the joint can be used in a few minutes after gluing, the second group - "traditional" - exposure time of 24 hours. All adhesives showed fundamentally similar results, so the article presents the data on the adhesive with the least amount of "dropping out" experimental values – cyanoacrylate-based "instant" one (see Table 2). Tensile tests were carried out until the specimens fail on the INSTRON electromechanical machine – 100 000 N. All specimens failed in the joining zone.
