Socket samples were printed using grey Filamentive PLA on an Ultimaker 2+ desktop 3D printer. For commercial-slicer sockets, the printing time exceeded 48 hours, while almost 16 and 9 hours were recorded for triple- and single-pass sockets, respectively. All sockets were tested for ultimate strength in static loading, following ISO 10328 guidelines adjusted as in [23]. Condition I that describes the loads experienced by the prosthetic at the early stage of the gait was selected for tests as it required the higher amount of load sustained (Fig. 2).
