As depicted in Figure 9, it can be seen that the mid-span displacement that occurs in the stems has a similar trend line. Based on the presented results in the graph, it can be seen that the branches experience thermal expansion, which causes the mid-span displacement to increase with increasing temperature. This is also due to the material’s behavior which gets weaker with increasing temperature. In the results of the ABAQUS dynamic explicit benchmark, structural oscillation occurs because the ABAQUS dynamic explicit consider inertia due to structural loading that occurs during the initial process of thermal loading.
