2. Numerical and experimental analysis 2.1. Pretest simulations

As a basis for selecting the most stressed areas of the superstructure, four load cases were selected. Among them were emergency breaking, cornering, driving through bump and frame twists. FEA was done using Simcenter Nastran Software. Fig. 4. presents results envelope from which the critical areas were chosen. In the case of this design, the greatest stresses accumulated in the chassis, right wall, and roof.

2.2. Measurement points The measurement plan included recording signals from strain gauges, accelerometers, and linear displacement sensors. All tests were also recorded by a camera placed on the windshield. Signals from the drivetrain and tachograph were recorded via the Controller Area Network (CAN).
