in the middle assuring for example to concentrate the analysis in a known position. The longer specimens exhibit multiple regions of plasticity, which are correctly simulated, and the final localisation occurs only in one of them. Furthermore, the dynamic reconstruction of the tests provides the ability to identify material model parameters that accurately characterise actual stresses in a structural application.
