lifetime prediction for AM metals, both on the test geometry as well as on the component level. Despite the online nature of the ESIAM21 conference, there were more than 150 participants from 25 countries represented. This year in collaboration with TC18 a new event (ESIAM23) has been organized in Porto from 4 th to 6 th of September. The event was organized with the strong support of the Italian Group of Fracture. More than 100 participants have joined the events presenting their contributions to the conference in Porto. The social activities of the event were also very successful, giving the possibility to the participants to visit the beauties of Porto. We want to thank immensely the local organizers of the event Prof. Abilio De Jesus and Prof. Luis Reis. The next ESIAM conference will be held in 3 years from now in 2026. More information will be available in due to course. A special symposium dedicated to TC 15 will be organized at ECF24 in Zagreb in August 2024.

- mechanical testing of 3D-printed devices, using a transtibial prosthetic socket as an example; - patient-specific computational simulations for planning thoracic endovascular aortic repair, designing cardiac procedures, and assessing the impact of calcification stress during endo vascular aortic aneurysm; - coating transfer in drug-coated balloon angio plasty using a hybrid in silico/in vitro appro ach; - novel methodology for modelling catheter as piration in high-fidelity thrombectomy simu lations; - numerical models for analysis of high-tempe rature behaviour of magnesium-hydroxyapa tite metal-matrix composites. This collection of studies clearly demonstrates the diversity of approaches and the complementarity of methods that underpin the development of medical devices. As the field moves into the era of more personalised solutions for tissue/organ repair/replacement and patient care and rehabili tation, biofabrication, underpinned by computa tional simulations and additive manufacturing, is poised to generate truly smart devices, with enhanced function and durability, reducing the need for costly revisions and ultimately improving patient experience and therapy. 2. Technical Committee 14 "Integrity of Biomedical and Biological Materials" will organise a Special Session within the framework of the 8 th International Conference on Material Mo delling ICMM8 in London, UK on 15-17 July 2024 . This biennial conference is the eighth in the ICMM series. The first ICMM took place in Dortmund 2009 (Germany). The conference since then was held in Paris (France), Warsaw (Poland), Berkeley (USA), Rome (Italy), Lund (Sweden) and Cape Town (South Africa). More details can be found at the ICMM8 web site (LINK).

In 2024 TC18 will organize thematic ECF24 symposium in Zagreb, 26-30 August 2024. Com petition will be held for Paolo Lazzarin award (fatigue design of structural connections), Stojan Sedmak award (structural integrity of welded constructions), as well as for Neuber medal (design of structures in presence of defects, notches and geometrical discontinuities).

TC15: Structural Integrity of Additively Manufactured Components

European Conference on the Structural Integrity of Additively Manufactured Mate rials, ESIAM , was founded in 2017 and first held in Trondheim, Norway 2019. The conference has been organized under the umbrella of ESIS TC15. Due to the pandemic a virtual conference has been organized. ESIAM21 constituted the second conference in the ESIAM series, where we have seen several advances in fatigue design and
