The ExCo has agreed that ESIS will support the active participation of scientists to ECF24 by waiving the Conference fee for up to 40 delegates who require financial assistance to attend. Preference was given for young researchers, but consideration was also given to retirees without travel funds. A total of 39 delegates had their registration fees supported by ESIS. ESIS will cover the cost of the in-presence registration fees for the researchers from Ukraine that are included in a list proposed by the Ukrainian Fracture Group chairman (3 registration fees). The cost of the remote participation (maximum 25) from countries involved in political issues will be covered by ESIS.
