strengthening mortar namely flexural and compressive strength were determined via prism tests according to the EN 1015-11. Nine prisms with dimensions of 40 x 40 x 160 were tested in three-point bending. Then, the splitter part of the prism was tested in compression with a 40 x 40mm dimension. The property of mortar joint and strengthening mortars are represented in Table 2.

The masonry wall were strengthened with a single TRM layer one week after construction. All specimens were tested one month after construction. The application of the TRM layer was performed according to the following procedure: 1) air pressure was used to remove dust from the masonry wall surface; 2) the wall was slightly dampened, and the first layer of mortar was applied to the entire surface of the wall; 3) a textile layer was applied and impregnated into the previously applied mortar using hand pressure; 4) the final layer of mortar was applied to completely cover the textile. The specimen was fixed between two rigid steel plates with dimensions of 60 x 60 x 500mm. The two plates were connected through 4 steel rods to ensure that the masonry wall would not move upwards during load application. The bottom plate was fixed with two steel plates at the strong floor. The free length of the textile was 400mm in all specimens. The textile was connected to the actuator using two steel plates Fig 2a,b. Rubber pads were used at the textile to steel interface to improve grip and avoid damage to the textile.
