4. Conclusions On the basis of strength calculations and fatigue tests of important welded nodes of the bus bodywork, together with long-term measurement of their stresses in real operation, it was possible to predict that all the assessed structural nodes have a fatigue life greater than the required 800,000 km. Fig. 8 schematically shows the main principles of evaluating the fatigue life of the SOR articulated electric bus.
