Of course, explained changes in the cross-section and the neglecting of the shaft part far away from the critical section significantly reduced the total number of elements, i.e. nodes, which accelerated the numerical calculation process. Along with it, these simplifications enabled a significantly increased amount of (more or less) successful iterations over time.
